As part of a parent cooperative, you and your family become partners in your child’s educational experience. Parents and teachers work together to nurture and affirm the individual strengths of each child. Parents gain first-hand knowledge of the school routine and become familiar with your child’s peers by volunteering in the classroom. Additionally, as part of a parent cooperative, you have a voice in the decisions made concerning the school. Of course there are certain expectations that come with being a partner in your child’s education. These time requirements are outlined below.
- One general clean-up day per year (2-4 hours)
- Participate on Board or committee (see list below)
- Be an active participant in the cooperative spirit of the school
- Vice President
- Church Liaison
- Space and Equipment
